The Marcia Miatke Show

Jun 24, 2021

Welcome to a new segment of our show called Ask Marce (AM), where Marce will be answering a question from our Empowering Women For Success Facebook group. Every Wednesday we ask our FB community to comment on any questions they have about emotions, relationships, healing or business.

Our commitment is that we’ll either answer your question, send you a resource, point you in the right direction or Marce will answer the question on this show.

Today’s question is from Amy who asked:

How do you manage overthinking, longing and anxiety when seeking out a new relationship with an anxious attachment style?

In this episode I talk about:

(02:58) What causes an anxious attachment style

(03:56) Signs that indicate that you possess this particular attachment style

(05:44) Re-establish a sense of grounding and inner strength

(07:41) How to shift your attachment habit

(08:51) Connecting to and calming your inner child

(06:02) See a man obviously not falling in love with his potential but his willingness, so if he is willing to learn and grow that’s a very powerful thing

(08:28) It’s not you the woman who has done all ‘the work’, that is your little wounded Amy who is from her child perspective, worrying that she is not going to find the right person. The work is not: How do I experience less anxiety & overthinking? It’s how do I support, love & give my inner child radical self-love
